Octaevo Collection 2016

In March of 2014 we discovered Barcelona-based stationery and miscellanea company Octaevo, which at that point had just launced. Founded by Zurich-born creative Marcel Baer, who has a history in art direction and graphic design, the brand roots directly from the passions of its founder such as the sea, history, traveling and the Mediterranean, which were all translated into the elegant and colorful products of Octaevo. Soon after the launch the first collection was praised unanimously and found its way to stores all over the world. This month, Octaevo presents its collection for 2016 and it is again of our highest liking. The designs ‘signed by the Mediterranean’ show the familiar sunny color palette and next to for instance their wonderful philosophy and marble notes notebooks, which became instant classics, one finds some totally new creations by the hand of Baer and his team.

We are explorers, collectors and dreamers. From our atelier in Barcelona we travel the Mediterranean in search of stories and transform them into beautifully-crafted and thoughtful goods.

Out of these new designs we particularly like the bold Weekly Agenda Planner. In fluorscent orange it is a diary with no dates; just elegant minimalist, weekly planner pages using high quality paper and a soft eco PU cover with luxurious gold hot stamping – by hand in an artisans workshop in Barcelona  – and flexible spine so that it opens flat. The planner comes with a handy pocket to store notes, ribbon bookmark to mark pages and an elastic band to keep it perfectly closed. What a perfect ‘Mediterranean’ alternative in a world full of black planners..

Next to their remarkable enlarged collection portrayed in the imagery, Octaevo also still offers bespoke services. From engraved writing paper, correspondence cards to beautifully designed wedding invitations and personal notebooks, the company serves discerning customers around the globe. Taking their time for individual costumers delivering products improved perfectly to what’s asked of them.
