The Killspencer Workshop Visit

Spencer Nikosey from Killspencer invited me into his workshop downtown LA. After a 45 minutes drive from Manhattan Beach, my taxi driver got a little scared and wondered if I was at the right address. A desolated street with some empty warehouses, old cars and shady businesses was definitely the right address. One of the warehouses was turned into a creative hub with film studio’s, designers and the 200 sqm workshop of Killspencer. One bright and open space, the studio and workshop blending together, sketches of new bags and concepts filling the walls, a pingpong table, some relaxed chairs, a fixed gear on the wall and a bunch of cool guys working on new accessories and fabrics.
I know Spencer for a few years now and every time we meet I’m inspired by his enthusiasm and positive way of doing business, and just doing it. Chasing his dream making the best bag, with the best materials in an inspiring environment. It is great to see the guys working on new concepts, doing collaborations with the Soho House and Van Neistat, and really creating the most solid bags I’ve seen.

Enjoy a little insight into the workshop, and keep an eye on Killspencer’s site – exciting things to happen!
