Red Wing Shoes Factory Visit

About a year ago I traveled all the way to Minnesota to visit the Red Wing Shoe factory and tannery for the Red Wing Shoes Amsterdam Store. Hypebeast featured the video we did, at the Red Wing Amsterdam site we featured the complete photo report and here I share the part that is not so visible: the laboratory of the S.B. Foot Tannery. A small room, filled with machines testing the flexibility and durability of the leathers, the colors, the aging… Notebooks filled with the complete history of the leathers, unique colors and material combinations, packed in a beautiful room with green metal cabinets, lab glass and steaming engines. All to make the most durable shoe ever.
