Libertine-Libertine Autumn/Winter 2014

We haven’t been writing about our friends from Copenhagen for a little while, but we absolutely love the new imagery for Libertine-Libertine‘s Autumn/Winter 2014 collection, which is again of the highest standard. With this lookbook the Danish label of Rasmus Bak, Pernille Schwarz and Peter Munch Ovesen returns aesthetically to its punk roots, very much in line with the great monochromatic imagery for last in-season ‘Black Moon’ collection. As always the collection combines a street-ready sensibility and dapper cut and sew designs; consisting of returning items like bomber jackets, parkas, button-up shirts in different prints and colors, with the ‘Trasher,’ ‘Gung-ho’ and ‘Mosh’ patterns as signatures for this season’s collection. The images were shot by regular collaborator, photographer Sacha Maric and art directed by the Copenhagen-based studio Ironflag.

Sacha Maric was born in London in 1978. He studied Fine Art Printmaking and Photo-media at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and graduated in 2000. His editorial work has been published by ArtReview, Dansk Magazine, Dazed & Confused, Kilimanjaro, WAD and Wallpaper Magazine, amongst others. Commercial clients include, Adidas Originals, Bruuns Bazaar, Fritz Hansen, Levi’s, Libertine-Libertine, Norse Projects and Wood Wood. His photographs have been exhibited at The National Portrait Gallery in London, The Lowry in Manchester and Sons of Studios and Playtype in Copenhagen. In the summer of 2010 he self-published his first book ‘Thrashers’, a 48 page, oversized zine-esque book of screen grabbed images from 80’s thrash metal concerts. His second book, ‘Good Mother and Father’, was released in the spring of 2012. It is a personal series of pictures concerned with parenthood and is a meditation on life, death and sex.

Ironflag is a Copenhagen-based design bureau established in 2011. The studio is run by Marco Pedrollo and Mikkel Møller Andersen. From both the digital and more tactile end of the creative spectrum, Ironflag aspires to utilize our different visual backgrounds in the wide field of graphic design. This includes everything from visual identity, campaign material, packaging over books, brochures, magazines and web design. Besides this work for Libertine-Libertine they have worked for Soulland, Mads Norgaard, Dansk Magazine and GL Strand.
