Lisbon
We already wrote about the lovely bed and breakfast Casa da Diná in Alentejo’s countryside, close to the beautiful beaches of the southwest Portuguese coast. For 6 days we enjoyed this amazing place, rolling hills covered with colourful flowers and wonderful desolated beaches (note, during the summer the beaches are not so desolated anymore and there are no more flowers on the hills – but it definitely still is an amazing place!)
After 6 days we moved to Lisbon and were welcomed by Maria and her team at the Baixa House.
The Baixa House is a group of serviced apartments located at the heart of Lisbon’s historical district, the Baixa (downtown), just a 5 min. walk away from the Praça do Comercio, the Figueira and the Rossio, 10 min. from the Chiado, right on the route of the electric tram No. 28. In this old building every apartment, named after a Lisbon garden, is beautifully designed and furnished. From 2 person apartments up to the very top of the building where you can stay with 9 friends, it truly feels like home!
During the past visits, while crossing the city and finding all the nice restaurants and shops, antique markets and parks, Lisbon became one of our favourite cities in the world to relax while enjoying good food and friendly people. We fell in love with the atmosphere, the relaxed and laid-back attitude, the amount of green in the city, the waterfront and the hidden treasures, accompanied by the good care of Maria at Mi Casa en Lisboa and the Baixa House.
If you are planning a trip to Lisbon, make sure to contact Maria and enjoy our favourites of this city in the google maps below.
