Prismverse

Defining a new dimension of light

Chris Cheung, creative director of the Hong Kong-based interdisciplinary creative studio XEX, reached out to us to share his latest art installation called ‘Prismverse’. An immersive audiovisual installation to define a new dimension of light. As the title of the installation unveils it capture two core ideas; A prism as the medium that translates light on one hand, and a verse as the multi-timespace dimension.

You’ll be immersed in splendors of mother nature, ranging from the galaxy and distant stars, rare gemstones, glistens of flowing water, and refracted light beams.

With a 10 meters LED floor and the complex geometrical tessellated mirror wall, the highly illuminated interior advertises the effects of one of Dr.Jart+ products (Dr.Jart+ is a Korean skincare brand). ‘Prismverse’ starts as a journey to unprecedented sceneries of glimmers at the touch of the product centered in the space. You’ll be immersed in splendors of  mother nature, ranging from the galaxy and distant stars, rare gemstones, glistens of flowing water, and refracted light beams.

Thanks to the omnidirectional speaker ‘scenery’ produced by sonihouse, audience can be bathed in an ambient soundscape, where sound is equally distributed to every direction. Audience are most encouraged to pace around and explore brilliance of the world from all angles in Prismverse.
A truly multi-sensory installation like no other.
