Past Present

We really like the new Australia-based headwear brand named Past Present, which was launched this summer in July, and is inspired by the name itself, merging the old school dapper of the past with the present day modern man. Pair that with the relaxed culture of its city of origin, Perth and you are left with an effortless range of premium headwear. Past Present’s first collection was a selection of five and six panel caps, focusing on quality materials and details. The materials used are a mixture of tweeds and wool sourced from Ireland and produced in New Zealand. Finding a common interest in quality and old school style, Past Present also collaborated with the famous Ebbets Field to create a six panel ballcap to help debut their first collection which shows great promise for the years to come.

We believe that the dapper gentleman of the past should not be left there and that well-made hats should be part of the modern man’s attire.

The focus of the debut collection is a simple wide brim style made from 100% wool felt. Made in the oldest hat factory in Pennsylvania, the design of these hats focuses on a perfect fit and a timeless style. Past Present’s wide brims are made from the most fine and light wool felt they could find, bridging the gap and making them the perfcect trans-seasonal piece next to being the crown to a dapper appearance.

We consider all the minor manufacturing details and appreciate the lasting quality of premium fabrics. We care about what we put on our heads and know you do too.

As its future goals the brand aims to play more with fabrics and styles. With some bold six panelled caps and wide brims made in textural, interesting materials coming; reason enough to keep an eye on Past Present.
