Olaf Hussein

Olaf Hussein is an Amsterdam-based denim label with one clear goal: to produce top quality denim that will remain true to its classic styles while simultaneously incorporating new and modern silhouettes. Subtle luxury and understated items set the tone for the brand. Clean and simple are key elements; design, quality and fit are closely connected. With this clear concept in mind, the aim is to present a collection with a classic aesthetic, but still with a modern attitude.

The capsule collection for 2013/2014 consists of four different styles: The Raw Denim; the signature denim, The Heavy Weight Selvedge; a sleek 5-pocket denim, The Black Selvedge; an 11oz. black denim and The Grey Selvedge; made out of beautiful grey denim. The quality denim used by Olaf Hussein is produced at the renown Kuroki Denim Mill in Okayama, Japan.

And not just the denim is of high quality, all of the different models are full of interesting details, showing the great eye for detail by the designer. It starts with the different kinds of rivets which are used to match the deep color of the denim. Another great detail is the zipper one finds on the jeans, made with a 100% cotton tape that will fade along with the denim and has selvedge running down both sides. The beautiful green vegetable tanned leather patch is produced by Guild of Holland, and features hand stitched details and a hand embossed logo. And the final beautiful touch one finds on the jeans is the Italian hand brushed gold button which is an original design and forms a great match with the selvedge zipper.
