Klas Ernflo

We have been following and appreciating Klas Enfro’s inspirational graphic output since we acquired one of his incredible textile footballs, when he released a series of them back in 2008. In the years that followed the Swedish illustrator and graphic artist who’s based in Barcelona has produced a diverse field of graphic projects – both independently as for clients. All of the artist’s projects show his incredible sense for colors and patterns, which he for instance exemplified with his free project ‘Color Study’; a library of hues packaged in casual drips. And also his most recent project is highly impressive. Consisting of 18 separate boards, Ernflo created a large work showing his signature organic forms, a wonderful sense of humor and tremendous colors.

After his graduation from Beckmans College of Design in 2001, Klas Enfro moved to Barcelona where he started working as graphic designer and later as Art Director for various design and adverting agencies there. Since 2008 he has worked as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer. Klas’ black and white illustrations have rounded edges and are full of fine and sophisticated details, minimal in its aesthetic, always maintaining a level of sophistication and elegance. His more graphic work is defined by a much more simple, clean yet colorful approach.

Next to his free work, Klas has worked for clients like: Domus, Dwell, Apartamento Magazine, Arlanda Go, Dagens Nyheter, Bonniers, ICA, Ikea, O2, Systembolaget, Stockholm Fashion Week, and Mother London, amongst others.
