Diptyque

Diptyque just opened a new store in London at 62 Leadenhall Market. Designed by the British designer Christopher Jenner it is a wonderful clash between English patterning and French luxury. In his own words: “Oversized library cabinets shooting skyward are furnished with multi-layered classic mouldings and fitted with secret cupboards in English brass, stained Glass fret work and magical Mirror. Hand made furniture in American Walnut and turned Brass, complements the Gothic revival wallpapers while acid etched Brass joinery panels frame a classic Victorian pressed ceiling from which a diffused halo is suspended above the Limestone floor.”
An amazing please that reminds me of the fragrance stores in Marrakech – the fresh colours and rich patterns, all reflecting the rich history of the perfume craftsmanship – and a must visit when in London.
