Olympia Le-Tan grew up in house where the walls were covered in beautiful books. Inspired by the amazing first edition covers of her favorite classics like The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, The Catcher in The Rye, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Winner Take Nothing, Moby Dick amongst others, she created 21 different handbags bags. The bags are hand embroidered book shaped minaudieres, all limited editions of 16 pieces, lined with vintage Liberty print and mounted onto a custom made brass frame. It’s an homage to an aesthetic that has sadly been replaced by cheap looking supermarket images. The collection is ironically named after the Bo Diddley song “You can’t judge a book by its cover”. Of course you can!
