The beauty of vintage watches is that each timepiece tells a unique story. By the way the watch aged you can tell if the previous owner treated it well, what kind of job he probably had and if he or she was really in love with it. Sometimes you will face very personal details like the inscription on the back of the vintage Omega watch above. With such inscriptions, wearing a vintage piece can almost feel like cheating. That feeling is often supported by the fact that you can never precisely determine for what kind of occasion the watch has been given to somebody. On top of that it is always a guess why somebody had to let go of their personal treasure.
The vintage Omega watch as shown above was for sale at Ebay and caught my eye because of the beautiful typography that was used to immortalize the former owner 40 years ago. (via Journal de Nîmes)
