Nymphenburg x Florian Böhm

Andreas Murkudis contacted us to tell about the upcomming bookpresentation of COMMEDIA DELL´ARTE – COUTURE EDITION by Florian Böhm and Nymphenburg Porzellan.
‘To celebrate the Berlin Fashion Week, Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg will be presenting the recently published Collector’s Book on the premises of Andreas Murkudis in Berlin from 1 to 18 July… The book itself is a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Munich artist Florian Böhm has come up with a lavish design, and the book is presented in a cloth-bound case… The book that celebrates this edition mixes mediaeval market scenes, Madonna, masked balls, delightful juxtapositions such as Heath Ledger as Pierrot in his last film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, sad clowns such as first Watteau and then Picasso painted, David Bowie and Buster Keaton, the court of the Bavarian dukes and the court of Christian Dior, what’s lost, what’s dependable, the legacy – everything intermingles in the pictures of the book, which works almost like a film.’ Check here for more information.

If you’re in Berlin for the fashin week or Bread & Butter, the opening is tomorrow at Andreas Murkudis. Wednesday, 1 July 2009, 6.00 to 8.00 p.m., Münzstraße 21, 2. Hof. The exhibition will run from 1 July to 18 July…
